Shelter the Homeless
Acts 11:19-26Tuesday’s corporal work of mercy dovetails beautifully with the epistle reading today from Acts. We hear of Paul and Barnabas bringing in many new converts from all over, both Jew and Greek. They came from Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch. All were welcome. And we learn that in Antioch, the disciples were first called Christians. This became the “home” to which all were welcome. Today we continue to welcome all people to the “Christian” faith. We seek to shelter the “homeless.” These are people searching for a home in the Lord.
Do you know anyone who needs a home? Be sure to welcome them into Christ’s home.
