Thursday Within the Octave of Easter
MercyIn today’s gospel, Luke 24:35-48, we witness the incredible mercy of Jesus. He comes to his disciples and they are terrified. He puts them at ease immediately and asks for something to eat. This validates his humanity, verses the possibility he is some sort of ghost. Then Jesus “opens their minds to understand the scriptures.” And He gives them a mission. “You are witnesses of these things.”
Today, in our journey with the Lord, we can be assured of the same mercy for us. He will put us at ease and validate who He is. Jesus will open our minds to His truths and put our feet on the path He has for us.
Trust is the vehicle that ensures being heard.
”Jesus, I trust in You.”
