Twenty Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Matthew 22:15-21The gospel today is one that can give us such comfort in questions of how we should act in regard to our government and political questions. They are important and we have an obligation to vote according to the teachings of Jesus. But in regard to what we owe God and what we owe “Caesar”, the point is quite clear. Jesus says, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
May God bless our country and lead the faithful to vote according to the moral law of God.
