Twenty Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
Matthew18:15-20Today’s gospel gives a few key topics of contemplation. But let us focus on prayer. Jesus says, “If two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
This promise is huge. When we pray together for a noble purpose, we know we are heard clearly by the Father. For Jesus tells us when we gather in His name, He is there. He also tells us that where He is, the Father is with Him. So we can be certain our prayers are heard directly when we gather in prayer.
Today, let us use this promise from Jesus and come to Him in prayer for the good of a loved one.
