Feast Day of St. Mamas of Caesarea
St. Mamas was a martyred shepherd at Caesarea, in Cappadocia. The Roman Martyrology identifies him as the son of Sts. Theodotus and Rufina who died at an advanced age. An Eastern tradition states that he was a young boy stoned to death. Sts. Basil and Gregory Nazianzus wrote of him.
St. Mamas of Caesarea, pray for us.
