Feast Day of St. Zosimus
BishopSt. Zosimus (c. 570-660) was born on Sicily, at the age of seven he was placed in the monastery of Santa Lucia, near Syracuse. He served as a monk for thirty years before receiving election as abbot. He was also made bishop of Syracuse in 649, and became famous for his care of the poor and his educational programs.
