Second Sunday of Advent
Matthew 3:1-12A fiery speech today comes from St. John the Baptist. It is a call to repent. He mixes no words in preaching his message. It is spoken to both the general population as well as the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Our reflection today should include a personal introspection as to our position in regards to repentance.
As we reflect on the stance of Jesus given by John, are we prepared?
”His winnowing fan is in his hand. He will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”
